Bob's Ban

I didn't find anything original yet, but here's something recent on the
subject of Bob's e-mail address. From the doctor himself.

I am pleased to report that my [email protected]
posting ID, which had been sabbotaged by a group of Travel Agents
in the rec.travel.cruises newsgroup (with PUBLIC evidence that they
had been filing FALSE abuse reports since that posting account was
blocked by Google pending investigation) has now been restored by
Google.

Yup. You, as a new member of rec.scuba's Dysfunctional Gang have
found good company with the "village idiots of rec.games.bridge", the
"false abuse report Gang of Travel Agents in rec.travel.cruises", and
the former "Quacks, Malpractitioners, and Snake Oil Salesmen" of
sci.stat.math, closer to home, the former "Aldora IDIOTS" of
rec.scuba.

The interesting thing is that the Dysfunctional Gang is the ONLY one
of these Gangs that are still fast asleep in its stupor while the rest
of
the world had already wised up and kept their move shut!

So, when are you going to learn how to keep your move shut or behave
like a somewhat reasonable adult? Or, keep your word and not read or post
to rec. scuba, since we're so beneath you, MR. Top of the Recreational World
Diver? (cough, choke)

You definitely have a LOT more enemies from all over the country than I
do, paranoid son-of-a-bitch.

You are a NOBODY.

I think Bush has a thosand times (or more) enemies from all over the
country than I do, and from many of the same Dysfunctional Gang
here too.

It goes with the territory of being in the PUBLIC EYE.

You are not even visible in rec.scuba except when you gang up
with the other Dysfuntional morons.

Wanna take percentages for comparison?

Let's see, a Mathematics Professor, undoubtedly good in his field, but a
total dumbass when he steps beyond.

You're almost correct, and I'm proud of the fact I leave so few pecker
tracks for you to Google.

But I don't see myself ganging up on you, I step on your little arrogant
head without any help, thank you.

As can all of our illusional "gang" that exists only in your paranoia.

Like I kept my mouth so shut in rec.travel.cruises that even Hugh

A pretty DEAD group. Would have been deader without me
attracting Hugh, Lee Bell, and the rest of the Gang.

rec,scuba -- I didn't even make the TOP 10, not by a long shot.
and the only reason I am even here is because Hugh Huntzinger's
crossposting to stir up the scum elements like Lee and Magilla.

Get the picture?

My 17 threads in that group was more than those in the TWO scuba
groups put together. Hugh Huntzinger was the ONLY flammer in
all three groups, and the only one in rec.travel.air -- he sure found
his Dysfunctional Gang in rec.scuba okay.

280 + 159 + 54 + 40 threads in just 4 groups outside of the
rec.scuba groups of less than 15 ... you've really made your
point now, Magilla the DUMB APE!

See the Google stat clue above. As I said, you are a NOBODY, even
the Dysfunctional world of newsgroups.

The 280 threads in rec.travel.cruises is more than all THREE of the
sci.stat groups put together (159 + 54 + 40 = 253). Of course we
can't expect a Gorilla to be able to count that high!

you more on that one. You got ONE right.

This is the end of your 15 minutes of fame this month. You can go
back

What mind?

The statistician "mind" or the Scientologist "mind"

In this case, you'll have to be more specific.

Bob apparently must have conveniently "missed" my debunking of his
claims about Canon IS binoculars in the "Wildlife viewing in Alaska"
thread there earlier this week.

And since Bob has previously expressed his doubts that the Russian 356
wreck on Cayman Brac ever had a star painted on its bow...well, at
least that's dive related:

Bob has mentioned, on several occasions, that he is not a Christian. Aren't
Scientologists Christians? I'm surprised I don't know, but I don't.

As for being a statistician, the best response I can give to that is to list
all the times he's applied his advanced statistical abilities to scuba
issues. The list looks surprisingly like hh's list of dives in the Sister
Islands.

No, I wouldn't classify it as a form of Christianity. This excerpt from
Wikipedia describes it pretty well:

Scientology is a system of beliefs and practices created by American
pulp fiction[1] author L. Ron Hubbard in 1952 as a self-help
philosophy. By 1960 Hubbard had redefined it as a "religion by its
basic tenets". [2] The Church of Scientology, by far the largest
organization promoting the belief system of Scientology, is sometimes
referred to simply as "Scientology".

The Church of Scientology presents itself as a religious non-profit
organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of the human spirit and
providing counseling and rehabilitation programs. Church spokespeople
claim that Hubbard's teachings (called "technology" or "tech" in
Scientology terminology) have saved them from addictions, arthritis,
depression, learning disabilities, mental illness, cancer,
homosexuality[3][4] and other perceived problems

Amazing. Bob Ling goes to great effort to show that he posts more in
several newsgroups than ANYBODY else. Then he calls newsgroups a
"dysfunctional world." Seems that there is a logical link here.

Knowing which professors to avoid, versus which ones are really good,
can make your college years so much more enjoyable.

I felt this information was well worth the minor bribes (beer, pizza,
ect) involved.

It might be exceedingly entertaining to learn of the Professor's
"reputation" held by former Clemson students.

There was a "Rate your Professors" webpage at Clemson for awhile.

Until a Stats professor who did rate very poorly on it, got it shut

There's one there now, but Bob's not on it. Anyone have a contact at
Clemson that might be able to tell us what his ratings were while he was
still teaching?
