BA, Tweed, Turby (who is currently in HI), etc,
I'll be heading up your way for a short one. Might get a chance to
surf Thu, maybe Fri. Hope to see you guys. Looks like there might be a
nice west swell when I get there.

See you then -

Plus - I have some very exciting Yooper photos and Yooper updates to
share with you.

It's a good thing the water's cold -

Met up with Rod Rogers last night. He made me walk through the sketchy
part of Chinatown (DC) to find him. Nah! Foon is going to give me big
grief for not giving advanced warning. Eh Warren, remember, I just
didn't want to impose. Talked about the good old days. Next stop, SD.

No sweat Spongeboy. I'm truly sorry I had to pass up the dinner. A visit by you
is never an imposition. Someday I hope you can schedule a decent trip to our
area so I might repay the great hospitality you extended to MrsFoon and I years
ago. She still talks about it. Hopefully you will get another paying gig in DC
and spend a few more days. A perfect visit would include whisking you out to the
Bunker for some one inch wavage. Have fun in SD.

btw, Chinatown is as safe as my backyard. Just be glad he didn't invite you for
Soul Food at Ben's Chili Bowl on U st.

Hey, BA? Do I get to watch or is the surfing in some super secret
spot? Would love to meet more of your friends. Thanks. Y.

Sponge snuck into town to check the waves on the Potomac. Too cold and
dirty for his taste even though there was some good movement. The
Anacostia River was a poor second choice. No pics.

Enjoyed some smack talk over a few beers and bar food. Sponge opted
for a nice local craft draught beer and myself for a bottled German
beer, Schlenkerla Rauchbier. Before too long, Sponge was crashing (the
dull conversation about AS was like a sedative!)... and he started
dreaming about Southern California splendor.
