Return of a Newbie....to airguns.

Well, I have decided to purchase an airgun again. the last one I owned was
about 15-20 yrs ago.

I bought a .22 Crosman 2289, it is a pneumatic single shot with a stock
(removable).

I wanted something reasonable, accurate and it had to be a pump or spring.
My last experience with CO2 guns made me think you get 10-20 "good" shot off
with a Co2 fired gun (using 12g cyclinders). Then it is down hill from
there...

Also something safe to shoot in the basement/garage that is quiet.

Any thoughts? After some research I found this brand to be reliable and very
modestly priced.
