Mega Winds here in the UK - Images & Video

Hello friends & Wardog :) not posted here for a while - just thought I'd let
you know we've been having a great Autumn and this weekend looks epic.

Quite a few USA based sailors are now using the Boards magazine forum and
are getting to grips with the humour, I think?

We had Graham Ezzy here where we did a Webcast with him showing the 2007
sails and an interview that was pretty cool and all the technology held up,
so much that Dad was watching it as well!

In August I visited the Ezzy Sail factory in Sri Lanka whilst out there on
vacation, not too many US citizens out there, must be something to do with
the civil war going on out there!

Great article in a Sri Lankan paper about how one of the major Surfing spots
that was trashed in the Tsuanami, and there is still so much devastation out
there, was finally getting back together, and then the war erupted again,
and is very close to the perceived conflict. The headline (based in
Appocolypse Now) was "Tigers Don't Surf".

So we'll give you a couple of links to look at - last Friday did a major
Charity Windsurf some 36miles in 40 -50 mph winds and huge seas - report and
pictures here http://www.boards.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=11896&PN=1
and back in September a massive Windsurfing event was run that saw over 350
competitors out on the water
http://www.boards.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=10659&PN=1&TPN=1and a few
weeks back Nik Baker who is from this part of the world came back and sailed
his home location - pics & video here

Get back to your forum! Now!!

Pretty quiet on this forum now, and sadly Wardog no longer inhabits the
space. I think it was a bunch of endless mudslinging between web-based
retailers. I do miss his "you think that was a big day. THIS is a big
day! followed by a bunch of absolutely insane Jalama pics or something
with his truly front and centre.

Just had a 50mph squall come through that's cleared most people off the
water now. Nearing high tide and waves big on the inside making launching
difficult.
