FS: Packasport Rooftop Cargo Box Car Roof Top Carrier - like Yakima Thule

MUST SELL! $485 or best offer

Box is like new and has lived in my garage. This particular size is no
longer produced; it is long and narrow and only takes up 1/2 your
available roof top width. You can carry the box on one side and your
bikes, surfboards, windsurf boards or 2X4s on the other!

Dimensions:
8'6" (102") long x 28" wide x 13" high
approximately 21.4 cubic feet
Fits:
Sport utility vehicles
Mid-sized sedans
Vans and stations wagons

The Packasport=AE System is built with reinforced fiberglass using
laminations of aluminum, Cormat and foam. Not unlike the process
behind building the hull of a fine, hand-crafted boat. Finished with
an 18-mil white gel coat finish. That is the ultimate in function and
form. Can be installed on almost any cross-bar automotive rack,
factory or aftermarket.

Features:
+ Marine-grade hardware
+ No mounting tools needed
+ Stainless steel (rust proof) thumb release latches
+ Heavy duty gas shocks
+ Carpet lining
+ Barrel lock with key (like a kryptonite lock)
+ Can be painted to match any car
+ Overlapping tongue and groove keeps contents dry and clean
+ Long enough to carry skis, windsurf masts, or 2X4s

This box originally retailed for $899.

Stackable surfboard racks and van not included. ;-)

Will deliver to Colorado Front Range, Columbia River Gorge, Portland,
OR and points in between.

Email me for photos. Thanks!

+ Front-mounted hinges-so if you forget to latch it or a latch
comes undone it won't flip open and distribute your quiver
along the roadside.

Did you ever sell this box?

FWIW, I've had one for a bunch of years and would tell anybody
reading this that it's a killer box.

Currently carrying 5 sails, two booms, three masts, about a dozen
fins, toolbox, jumper cables and assorted odds and ends.

That's an odd configuration. I don't see it on thier website. Their 21 CF
unit is 7'5" x 34". That's the one I have and it works great for me. I
can't put a deeper box on my car as it wouldn't fit inside the garage. So I
went with this one. Only problem, I replaced my 430 mast and the newer
PowerEx's are an inch and a half longer than my old 430. So I had to drill
a hole in it to put the ferrule through. I was able to put 3 booms, 5
masts, 6 sails, plus all my little stuff - Harnesses, fins, etc... for a
trip to the Gorge last year. 3 sailors in one car.
