The Basketball Hall of Fame announced the nominations for the class of 2008.
The nominees are:
Players
Adrian Dantley played 15 seasons in NBA with 7 teams, 23,177 career
points
Patrick Ewing played 17 seasons in NBA including 15 with New York,
Olympic gold medalist 1984 and 1992, won NCAA
championship with Georgetown in 1984 and was MVP
Richie Guerin played 13 seasons in NBA with New York, St. Louis, and
Atlanta, 14,676 career points, player-coach for 6
seasons
Dennis Johnson played with the Seattle Sonics 76-77 - 79-80, the
Phoenix Suns 80-81 - 82-83, the Boston Celtics 83-84 -
89-90, won NBA championship in 1979, 1984, and 1986
Chris Mullin played 16 seasons in NBA with Golden State and Indiana,
Olympic gold medalist 1984 and 1992
Hakeem Olajuwon played 19 seasons in NBA including 17 with Houston,
won NBA championship in 1984 and 1995, Olympic gold
medalist 1996
Maciel Ubiratan Pereira Brazilian player who won South American
championships in 1963, 1968, 1971, 1973,
and 1977

inducted. The announcement for the new inductees will occur April 7.
