Join in the nostalgia!

Does footage exist of the Billy Smart's Circus Christmas shows from the
1970's? I remember a juggler in a red suit who used five balls, he came
on stage after Abba had performed an aerial act. Think that was 1978.
Also, on Opportunity Knocks ten years later, a guy in a top hat did an
outstanding act with 6 balls(and more?), clubs and rings also. He got
thunderous applause. There dosen't seem to be a good scource of historical
films other than here and jugglethis.net. Unless anyone knows otherwise.

I'm sure such footage exists, but if it's in the hands of the public,
it'll be on VHS (Although from the 70's that's going to be on the rarer
end of the scale)

It might be worth asking around on sites such as www.uknova.com to see
if anyone has a tape lurking somewhere that they're willing to digitise
and distribute. It's a bit of a longshot, but a lot of British telly
from around that time was shown about 5 years later in australia...
so it's not impossible.

I keep bringing it up, but it keeps on being worth mentioning. Check
out http://www.britishpathe.com/it's chock full of newsreel footage
from the 1950s with loads of really good juggling acts.

Granted it's not quite as recent as 1978 though ;-)

Another interesting source is the Ed Sullivan show:

Thanks for the info,Paul. Liked the video called "6 balls on a sink".
After I realised what the clock was for, the penny dropped!
