BJC Pre-reg at Notts or by March 7th

Hi all

A quick reminder that pre-registration for the BJC ( www.bjc2006.co.uk )
ends next tuesday; March 7th.
If you're coming to NAJC ( http://www.nottsjuggling.co.uk/najc/index.php)
however, you can pre-reg there to save yourself and the postman the
bother.

Cheers all,

The Void

At BJC? Or Notts?

If BJC, then I'd be up for some idea sharing certainly. I've only got
one trick. (But then I've only been doing it for about 2 weeks)

That reminds me. I need to repair my parasol already. It's not torn,
but one of the little bits of string that supports the ribs has snapped
which leads to a noticable 'soft spot'

I do B&P, but to about the same piffling standard as Mike, LP, Fluffy
Nigel and Void I suspect :-/

If you're going to be at NAJC, I'll be there with at least one parasol
during the day, but have to leave before the show.

Mikey told me he's used dental floss for repairs, which is frankly a
bit bonkers, although prolly smells quite nice.

Without having had to make such repairs myself, my instinct would be
to go for silk embroiderer's thread - soft, strong, and very, very long
... er, low stretch, and in a huge range of colours, I mean. Should be
easy to use with a darning needle, too.

Yodaese makes my head hurt. Wise it sounds is meant to. But bollocks in
a different order it is.

Actually, that seems to make a lot of sense. It's about the right
guage, and is pretty strong (at least, whenever I try to snap it without
using the little cutter thing on top of the pack I never really get very
far :-)

Hmm.

From looking at whats on there, it seems to be similar to the tapestry
thread I've used in the past for all sorts of things. It seems to have
snapped because it rubbed against a rib rather than being under too much
tension. Hmmm.

Oh well, can't hurt to experiment a little!

My pre-reg was very much put in the post today, with a first class stamp
because i'm paranoid like that. Also booked were the 60 million train
tickets to get to Cornwall.

Same here. Should be taken away by the postie as I type. Finally decided
what I'm doing with that week and have come to a compromise with the
missus as to my weekend away.

But I'm driving down, with a carload of stuff and people. Look forward to
it! It had better be great, I'm committed now...

When hasn't a BJC ever been just the best w/e you've spent in your life?
(excluding a w/e at bristol convention)
Of course it will be fantastic...
...personally I am being chauffer driven down on a vehicle with a (sort of)
bar, entertainment and a loo with 30 of me mates..
...still places left if anyone wants to join us ;)
