big mutha in the break

weekend before last a good sized storm hit newcastle in oz, most of the
ships off shore waiting to load coal headed out to sea, except for the
one that thought surfing Nobby's beach sounded like a good idea.

I'm an old merewether boy but Nobby's was a favourite place for a
screaming lefthander right where the ship is.... against the rip.
Peter McCabe learnt to ride lefts there....practising for G-land etc...

mate, ships been queuing off newc for years, taking open cut coal out of
the hunter valley, no seam is 3m thick! Newcastle has the largest
throughput of coal in the world. Can't rip it out and send it away fast
enuf.

at the leggy.
