Surff's WSD 2006

Location: Redington Shores Fla.
GOM: Flat
Scene: Lovely view of turquoise Gulf water and white sand from our room
at the Hilton Doubletree.
Situation: It's Wendsday, April 19th, the day after my parathyroid
surgery at Tampa General Hospital. Mrs. Surff
is visiting her dad at their house in Redington.

Well, this is it. I haven't surfed for several years after being racked
by back surgery and the onset of intense arthritis.

Looking out at the Gulf I remember detesting the sunshine and flat
water. Truly a
TS was a thing of great beauty.

Will I once again stand on a surfboard and ride it to shore? The
surfgeon, Dr. Norman, said that I'd be a new man within a month.

I guess I'll have another report on the 27th of May.

Best of luck to you on getting back in the water.

No. The operation helped a lot, but it wasn't a magic wand.

Yes, it will take a magic wand to make you a real boy with a real good
spine. But stranger things have been known to happen, so don't give up
hope.

I don't know what to think about this post Mr. Blake. Either you think
I have a back
problem and you are just plain cruel,
or you think I'm bsing alt.s. Either way, I guess you have little
respect for me.
