It's good to be home

This morning:
1,5xOH
13°C sea temp
10°C air temp, rain
On shore wind, moderate
(very) Powerful sandy beach break with lots of close outs
Crowd: null
Bodyboarding, great session despite the so-so conditions, I felt so good to
be there!

This afternoon:
0,75OH
same weather, different spot, mellow beach break
Stand-up surfing on a 6'6", borrowed to a friend of mine, a few good take
offs and some little trimming on the shouler

Stoked for the week end!
:-)

I had been longboarding during flat summer spells for years, but never with
any kind of dedication, something like a couple of hours every year or so.
In Kauai after Bethany was bitten there was that sharkanoia that kept me in
Hanalei bay. I rented a longboard because of the weakness of the waves and
their lack of size, and practiced for one week up to 4 hours a day. Did a
lot of progress and made me feel like giving a try to shortboarding. And
here I am with my 6'6"...
