Every once in awhile...

You get smiled upon. Up before the alarm and dawn. Took my neighbor for
his virgin surf on the east coast. It's a tough decision for the right
coast'er to make the call when your neighbor has spent the last seventeen
years living in Kauai. We got on it at a place not far from these report
pics and were treated to waves with just a tad more size and with a bit more
river silt to the blue than in the pictures.

Nothing epic but not bad for a Sunday for those of us with a Monday morning
grind to face. Couple of dumpy little stand up slabs and a good morning to
give a islander a look at the right coast. A very gracious people by the
way. Gave me a copy of the NALU Underground mag (some great pics and
interviews in there) and sweet hat from his canoe team. 4-5 milk glass and
some free shwag. I'd call it a good morning. Every once in awhile...

Thats where I surfed.. was fun and warm ..stoked...This time of year
I'm usually still in a 5 mill boots and gloves the change is most
excellent....
