Key Horse Picks: Saturday August 27 2005

Hello everyone --

I have eight picks in races 8-11 at Saratoga today, Saturday August 27
2005. To see them all, just register at:

http://www.key-horse.com/ccbill/index.htm

Saratoga is guaranteeing a $1,000,000 pool for all four stakes races
-- races 8-11 -- in a Pick 4 wager today, linking the Fourstardave, the
Hopeful, the King's Bishop, and the Travers Stakes. The spotlight will
be on the nation's best 2- and 3-year-olds, with a race for 4-year-olds
and up. Today, the Key Horse theory will give us the Key Horses each of
these races; and will pick one Key Horse to key over the other three
Key Horses in the Pick 4.

My free picks are below and I'm wagering, among other bets, the Pick
4. The cost of a $1 Pick 4 wager is $12.00, and the possible return is
huge. I lay out the play on our Members' Page:

The Travers Stakes is the final race of our Pick 4. With so many good
horses out of contention due to injury this year, this race may be the
stepping stone to the final showdown in the Breeders' Cup next month
for the best 3-year-old this year.

Saratoga 8th Race 4:38pm US Eastern Time

Andromeda's Hero #2 (ML 12-1) is the only horse in this race to have a
decent showing in the Belmont Stakes, running second against
then-probable Horse of the Year Afleet Alex. Nick Zito has added
blinkers to improve his focus and maybe get him running quicker in the
early part of the race. Although he was beaten by Flower Alley and
Reverberate, I believe Andromeda's Hero, who is by one of this year's
leading sires, Fusaichi Pegasus, is a late bloomer and is coming into
his own in the Travers.

Bellamy Road #1 (ML 2-1) will probably be the favorite. His works have
indicated he may be back to the horse he was before his injury in the
Kentucky Derby last May. Before that race, Bellamy Road was picked to
win the Derby and was touted as the Horse of the Year. Trainer Nick
Zito has been working this colt with excellent results in the mornings
coming up to this race. His last two works have been bullets: an August
21 work at :594 over muddy track handily (1/10); and he worked August
13 on a sloppy track with 1:001, a breeze (1/8).

Reverberate #6 (ML 8-1) is an earlier Key Horse selection who finished
second August 30 in his last race, the Jim Dandy. He was a good ten
lengths ahead of Andromeda's Hero in the race. This horse is another
late bloomer and ran the second-best race of his life in the Jim Dandy,
recording a 106 Beyer. Also, his trainer Sal Russo gave him a five-week
layoff prior to his last race. He should be fresh for the Travers
today. Another point: with Saratoga being a speed-favoring track, his
jockey Jose Santos can get the jump on Bellamy Road out of the gate.
With his tactical speed he should have a good chance at the win.

Best of luck today and always to everyone. To your Wealth!
