Could anyone tell me about US Yacht motor sailors. its a 1979 with a
diesel that hasnt been turned in a couple years.

For a grad student - mate - yer spelling's shocking! :)

Got any more details on the said boat??? - I think we'll need a bit more
to go on.

Yes.... Most of them were White, With Sealed decks and fluid repellent hull
construction. The Engines came complete with a Viscous lube fluid to assist
movement. They had Screw type propulsion.. They had a large taper at the bow
with a fattening towards the stern. Onboard was a series of windows to allow
light in. But to reduce the flow of seawater these had to be waterproofed
during manufacture. Curtains were often used to reduce the light flow as
needed.

The diesel engines were of the Injector type with an exhaust manifold and a
fly wheel connected at the side and front respectively. The pistons worked
in a vertical line. Usually these engines were quite heavy and would cease
operation once the flow of distillate was reduced substantially.
